Outstanding auction result for the DATOGRAPH UP/DOWN “Hampton Court Edition”
The unique A. Lange & Söhne timepiece raises 877,919 euros for The King’s Trust
The DATOGRAPH UP/DOWN “Hampton Court Edition” was auctioned by Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo at the Geneva Watch Auction XX on 9 November 2024 at an outstanding price for CHF 825,500 (EUR 877,919, incl. buyer’s premium). All proceeds from this sale will be directed to The King’s Trust, a British youth charity, dedicated to empowering young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to recognise their potential and build a brighter future.
With the DATOGRAPH UP/DOWN “Hampton Court Edition”, A. Lange & Söhne commemorates the 25th anniversary year of the renowned DATOGRAPH with a special contribution to a meaningful cause. This unique timepiece in white gold, with a grey dial and black subsidiary dials, was first presented in August 2024 at the Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace in London, before being subsequently showcased in New York, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong and Geneva. On 9 November 2024, the watch was auctioned by Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo in Geneva, achieving CHF 825,500 (EUR 877,919, including buyer’s premium). All proceeds from the sale will go to The King’s Trust, a UK-based youth charity founded by His Majesty King Charles III and dedicated to supporting young people aged 11 to 30 by helping them develop the confidence and skills they need to prepare for future career opportunities and ultimately to have a brighter future.
