A giant watch in the heart of Milan

A. Lange & Söhne presents stunning ZEITWERK DATE in 30:1 scale

From 18 to 28 July 2019, A. Lange & Söhne is joining forces with Pisa Orologeria to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the company’s first post-relaunch collection with an exclusive installation.

On 24 October 1994, Walter Lange, Ferdinand Adolph Lange’s great-grandson, and Günter Blümlein launched the first collection of the new era following Germany’s reunification and the company’s relaunch in 1990.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of this event, a special exhibition will take place in the Milan Lange boutique at Pisa Orologeria, Via Verri 9, from 18 July 2019. It tells the story of A. Lange & Söhne from the first foundation by Ferdinand Adolph Lange in 1845 to the present day with a selection of timepieces. The focus is on the past 25 years, a quarter of a century full of success and important milestones for the company. After all, 25 years of LANGE 1 is not the only anniversary this year; it is the 10th birthday of the ZEITWERK model, too. Therefore, the new model ZEITWERK DATE was presented at SIHH in January 2019.

The installation of a three-metre-tall, accurate model of this watch in Milan’s Golden Rectangle, near the pedestrian precinct on Via Croce Rossa, aims to introduce the city, its residents and visitors to the Lange way of horology.
