A. Lange & Söhne opens new boutique at Harrods

The consummate timepieces from Saxony, Germany, are now available at a newly opened boutique, located on the ground floor of the iconic department store in Knightsbridge.

The new A. Lange & Söhne boutique located on the ground floor inside the historic department store on Brompton Road is a cozy place, inviting watch collectors and connoisseurs alike to a warm and welcoming space of refined and sophisticated ambiance. Covering 30 square metres, the store is home to an extensive range of the manufacture’s six watch families, including the most recent timepieces and exclusive limited boutique editions.

The location features a bespoke interior-design concept, which is characterized by minimalist aesthetics, natural materials and elaborate surface treatments, paying tribute to the type of craftsmanship the watchmakers from Saxony adhere to. Lovingly crafted details refer to important moments in the eventful history of the brand while reflecting its unending pursuit of horological precision and handcrafted perfection. One of them is a little bust of Ferdinand Adolph Lange, who laid the cornerstone for Saxony’s precision watchmaking in 1845.

“The new mainstay in Knightsbridge is a significant milestone in the partnership between A. Lange & Söhne and Harrods, which began ten years ago”, says Lange CEO Wilhelm Schmid. “The subtle differences that make our timepieces so unique are best discovered when holding them in one’s hands. Our new boutique at Harrods offers the perfect setting for this.”
